The Sky is Not the Limit
Huntsville is rooted in rocket history as the home of the NASA-Marshall Space Flight Center, which has provided NASA with 32 Saturn rockets, including six used to land astronauts on the moon. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command and the Space and Missile Defense Command are also based here at the Redstone Arsenal. We are a prosperous, progressive community with values and traditions.
Huntsville Hospital has always been a reflection of the community. We are a forward-looking organization with a rich history of service and commitment to our mission. We are confident that Huntsville Hospital is the best place to work and our community is the best place to live, play and grow.
A Place to Flourish
Huntsville’s population truly reflects international cultures. At least 10 percent of the residents are natives of other countries, and more than 100 languages and dialects are spoken. Much of the community’s fast growth is credited to new technologies developed and produced locally.
Bridge Street Town Centre is the area’s premier lifestyle center featuring more than 70 upscale shops and restaurants, the 210-room Westin Huntsville Hotel with 74 luxury residential units occupying the top five floors, and a 14-screen Monaco Pictures. The property also features a 10-acre lake with gondola boats and water craft
rentals, a carousel, fountains and a Huntsville Hospital sponsored walking trail.
Huntsville offers a variety of music venues, museums, parks and theatres. The community is home to the Huntsville Museum of Art, the world’s largest space museum, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, Sci-Quest, Burritt on the Mountain - A Living Museum, Alabama Constitution Village, Broadway Theatre League, Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater and Academy, Independent Musical Productions, Theatre Huntsville, the Flying Monkey Arts Center, Huntsville Symphony Orchestra and the Huntsville Community Chorus Association.
