Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Delivers meals to patients within ten minutes of food cart arriving to floor
- Identifies each patient for proper diet and makes immediate substitutions or corrections to trays from the Hospitality Cart
- Greets each patient according to customer service standards and offers individualized assistance with meal tray, receiving no complaints from patients or staff
- Appropriately handles all off-schedule trays, discharged patient trays, guest trays, courtesy trays and isolation trays while following universal precautions
- Retrieves trays and records calorie and fluid intake data for designated patients during tray retrieval process
- Delivers nourishment’s to patients in timely manner and beeps nursing of deliveries through interactor
- Responds to all patient requests for floor stock items and verifies diet for appropriateness prior to providing food item to patient
- Distributes and collects menus in a timely manner, assisting patients with menu selection when needed and ensuring patients have a selected menu by the second meal after the initial diet order
- Maintains appropriate level of stock on the Hospitality Cart/Caddy and ensures the carts remain clean and sanitized
