Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Sets carts with supplies and food for cooks, bakers, salads, cafeteria, catering, etc. in an accurate and timely manner, following established protocol
  • Ensures the quality of all food products produced in the storeroom, preparing food according to recipe
  • Follows guidelines for the receiving and storing of foods and supplies as outlined by the Department of Public Health
  • Ensures the cleanliness of the storeroom as outlined by the Department of Public Health
  • Ensures that timely deliveries are made to the satellite locations on schedule
  • Retrieves supplies from other locations in the absence of the Driver and under the direction of the Supervisor
  • Assists in the completion of all inventories
  • Alerts supervisors to problems and needs regarding shortages of food and supplies
  • Maintains the cleanliness of all vehicles and transport boxes
  • Inventories freezer on a regular basis
  • Orders produce and supplies in the absence of the supervisor
