Huntsville Hospital's Corporate University provides opportunities to learn more about healthcare careers through several programs:
- The Chamber of Commerce's Groundhog Shadowing Program
- Provided every February, “groundhog shadowing” provides students with learning experiences and the opportunity to interact within a variety of healthcare professionals to gain more information about the field in which they are interested.
- The Boy Scouts of America's Medical Venturing Program
- Conducted in partnership with the Boy Scouts of America Troop #630, Huntsville Hospital’s program identifies high
school students interested in entering a healthcare career, and provides a year-long series of lectures, hands-on
experiences and tours to expand understanding of health professions. The age range for Medical Venturing is 14-20.
- Huntsville Hospital's Career Shadowing Program
- This program is offered to high school and college students wanting to learn more about the specific healthcare
careers they have an avid interest in pursuing. This program gives the student the opportunity to observe and to
receive mentoring from a healthcare professional in their work setting.
