Hill died in February of 1997 of cardiac arrest, at the age of 20. All money raised will go toward the purchase of a Giraffe OmniBed for the Neonatal ICU. Click here to learn more or to make a donation.

Kids Kamp Carnival Gives Children
a Great Escape

carnivalFor many children, a visit to the hospital is not a pleasant one. So, on Sunday, April 13, the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Leadership Council gave children a fun reason to visit! These high school volunteers held a carnival at Kids Kamp, a playground located just outside the cafeteria at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children. Children who visit the hospital regularly were invited to attend, as well as patients who were on the Pediatric Unit. Some children who were visiting sick siblings or parents even came to play and pass the time. Before the carnival, the Leadership Council planted flowers and spruced up the playground. It all resulted in a fun afternoon for some children who really deserved it!

Blossomwood K-Kids Club Helps Tiny Babies

K-KidsSome youngsters at Huntsville’s Blossomwood Elementary School are opening their hearts to help premature babies in the Neonatal ICU at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children. In February, the club took part in a project called “Hearts of Love.” They made hearts for Valentine’s Day, and students purchased them for their favorite teachers. They raised $250 for the Melissa George Neonatal Memorial Fund. Thank you Blossomwood K-Kids for having a heart to help others!
