Intensive Care Babies Reunite with Doctors and Nurses

Look at Me Now Logo It was all smiles on March 28 when more than 400 guests visited with the doctors and nurses who cared for two-year-old “graduates” of the Neonatal ICU! The 21st annual Intensive Care Nursery Reunion Party, hosted by Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Angels for Children and the NICU nursing staff, took place at the Trinity United Methodist Church gymnasium. The NICU class of 2007, and their grateful parents, traveled from all over the Tennessee Valley to share their success stories and enjoy the toddler-oriented activities, snacks, prizes, face painting and more. One family even traveled more than 200 miles from Ft. Campbell, Tennessee! Thanks to all of the physicians, nurses and volunteers who made this year’s reunion party such a great success!

Neonatologists Dr. Lee Morris, Dr. Zuzana Novak, Dr. Tommy Davison, and Dr. Meyer Dworsky reunite with their former patients.

Super Heroes Visit Pediatric Unit

Patients on the Pediatric Unit had some out-of-this-world visitors recently! Batman, Superman and the Green Lantern made a special appearance at the Spring Fling Party, hosted by Child Life and the Angels for Children last month. Besides meeting these super heroes, the children also got to decorate their very own super hero mask!

Pediatric Patients Celebrate Mardi Gras in Style!

Mardi Gras parades don’t just happen on the streets of New Orleans. Earlier this month, the Child Life department held one at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children! Riding in either wheelchairs or wagons, pediatric patients visited each floor of the hospital and handed out beads to doctors, nurses and visitors. Volunteers with Angels for Children took part in this exciting event that brought smiles to the faces of patients and staff alike!
