You’ll find unique items from local merchants, such as an 18 karat white-gold pavé set of diamond earrings from Loring & Co., a Waterford crystal lamp from Braggs of Huntsville and dinner for four at 801 Franklin ... just to name a few! The auction will open Friday, May 9 at 8 a.m. and will close Friday, May 16 at 5 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Trauma Department and Neuro and Surgical ICUs at Huntsville Hospital. Tickets to the Sara Evans Concert are on Sale Now!

Mark your calendars for one of the hottest concerts to hit Huntsville this year! Tickets are on sale now for the Sara Evans concert at the 20th Annual Huntsville Classic Dinner. The country music star will take the stage at the Von Braun Center Arena on Friday, May 16 at 8:30 p.m. The event is brought to you by Huntsville Hospital Foundation and all proceeds will benefit the Trauma and Neurosurgery Departments at Huntsville Hospital. Concert tickets are $25 for box seats and $20 for upper level seats and can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com, any Ticketmaster outlet or at the Huntsville Hospital Foundation office located at Plaza Resource Center at the corner of Governors Drive and Madison Street in Huntsville. Huntsville Hospital employees can receive a $5 discount by showing their badge at the time of purchase. For more information, call the Foundation office at 265-8077.

The Huntsville Classic

The Huntsville Classic is back, and this year, it’s bigger and better than ever! Country music star Sara Evans will headline the 20th Annual Huntsville Classic Dinner on May 16 at the Von Braun Center Arena. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Trauma and Neurosurgery Departments at Huntsville Hospital.

Evans is a multi-platinum recording artist who recently celebrated her 10-year career with the release of her first Greatest Hits package. The album features four new songs, “As If,” “Love You with All My Heart,” “Pray for You” and “Some Things Never Change,” all co-penned by Evans. Her celebrated career has spawned three Top 5 singles and four No. 1 songs including “No Place That Far,” “Born to Fly,” “Suds in the Bucket,” “A Real Fine Place to Start,” and “I Could Not Ask for More.” Evans has been honored with numerous accolades, among them the Academy of Country Music’s Female Vocalist of the Year and the Country Music Association’s Video of the Year for “Born to Fly.” Evans has been named one of People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful People" and won the hearts of television viewers as the first-ever country star to compete in ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” Most recently, she was a co-host on “The View” in December.

The evening will begin with dinner on the floor of the arena, followed by a live Destination Auction and the concert by Evans. Guests can either attend the dinner and concert, or the concert-only. Tickets will go on sale March 1. Huntsville Classic Golf Tournament also offers golfers the opportunity to win great prizes, including a chance to drive away in a new car. The eight golfers who are closest to the pin on the Par 3 holes will duel it out in the New Car Dealers Par 3 Shoot-Out. The winner will drive home in a new car, theirs to keep forever! The seven finalists will each win a set of irons.
