Why is Huntsville Hospital the best choice for Madison?
Huntsville Hospital is the people's choice.
Three separate community surveys conducted during the past twelve months—two commissioned by Huntsville Hospital and one by Crestwood Medical Center—came to the same conclusion: the majority of the citizens in Madison and western Madison County support Huntsville Hospital to build the hospital in Madison.
The most recent survey conducted by HealthStream Research in June 2007 found that 51% of the people who will be served by the new Madison hospital want Huntsville Hospital to build it, compared to 33% who said Crestwood.
Huntsville Hospital is the local choice.
Crestwood Medical Center opened in 1965 as a privately owned, for-profit hospital. Over the years Crestwood has been bought and sold by various out-of-state corporations, including HCA, HealthTrust, Triad, and now, Community Health Systems. It is not unreasonable to expect that Crestwood’s ownership will change again in the future.
On the other hand, Huntsville Hospital is a community-owned, not-for-profit hospital that is 113 years old. Huntsville Hospital’s ownership has never changed nor has its commitment to providing you with the most advanced technology and healthcare services…like the region’s only Pediatric ER, Urgent Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, Cardiac Surgery, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital affiliate clinic and Alabama’s largest emergency/trauma program.

Huntsville Hospital is the best choice.
According to the HealthStream survey, the reasons you chose Huntsville Hospital were very clear: “more quality, more services, more resources…more to offer.”
As a resident of the City of Madison and western Madison County, you know first hand how much “more” Huntsville Hospital provides to you and your family.
Trust the people you know to provide the care you need.
