Patient Discharge
While we will make every effort to meet your needs during your hospitalization, we will also make every effort to make your transition home as smooth as possible.
Huntsville Hospital has a discharge time of 11:00 am.
Your physician, the nurses on the unit and the outcomes management team will work with you in every way possible to assist you in your departure before 11:00 am on the day of your discharge.
We Will Help Prepare for Your Discharge
We will begin to prepare for your discharge the day before you are actually dismissed. We will work closely with your physician to learn your discharge needs. Then we will be busy making all the necessary arrangements for you.
We Need Your Help
We will also need your help. The person providing your transportation will need to be contacted the day before you are dismissed. This will allow for them to make any necessary arrangements to be here the next morning.
Free Parking
We will offer free parking on the morning of discharge for the patients who are dismissed Monday - Friday prior to 11:00 am discharge time. As you leave the unit before 11:00 am, the nurse will provide you with instructions for your free parking.
