We have three dedicated ultrasound machines and four technologists at the Breast Center.

Breast ultrasounds are often used after a mammogram has been completed at the request of the radiologist in order to give us more information about an area of concern.

Sometimes, your physician may request an ultrasound for you without the mammogram based on your symptoms and the physical exam.

Ultrasound exams need to be scheduled by a physician.
