Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children's Pediatric Emergency Room is committed to the special emergency needs of children. The Pediatric Emergency Room is a 16-bed facility open 24-hours a day, 365 days a year and cares for young people from infants through 18 years of age. The Pediatric ER is the only emergency room in the region dedicated to infants, children and adolescents.

The staff includes physicians board certified in pediatric emergency medicine and nurses with clinical certifications pertaining to their specialty. Studies have proven numerous benefits to young people when using caregivers devoted to their unique needs.
