This is a four-week course that is highly recommended for first-time parents. Topics include preparing for baby, baby care basics, safety and CPR (including CPR dolls), growth and development, and coping with parenthood.

Cost for four week course: $75.00

Tuesday or Thursday, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Parenting Class #1 - Baby Care Basics

Includes basic baby care. Bathing, diapering, holding, swaddling, information on preventing "Sudden Infant Death Syndrome".

Parenting Class #2 - CPR and Car Safety

Includes car seat safety, choosing and using the correct car seat, installation tips and keeping the car seat current to the infants needs. Also Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and choking for infants.

Parenting Class #3 - Health Issues

Includes health issues including when to call the doctor, how to handle common pediatrician visits, how to handle a crying baby and how to help your baby sleep.

Parenting Class #4 - Feeding Alternatives and Baby Genius

In addition to reviewing feeding alternatives this class includes information about building brainpower - emphasizes simple techniques you can use to stimulate the growth and development of your baby.
